There are also plenty of local points of interest and archaeology including the Roman villa at Cadima and the Arab baths at Alfaix Garrucha Garrucha is a beautiful and lively fishing town that still retains much of its original charm, despite it's popularity as a popular tourist destination. There are plenty of restaurants and bars, with excellent seafood restaurants found along the seafront, serving the fresh catch of the day. Many landscaped areas, allow you to relax and pass the time of day whilst watching the sunset over the Mediterranean sea. Garrucha is well known for it's golden sandy beaches, that stretch as far as the eye can see. The wide beach and fine sands offer a perfect place to sunbathe, play your favourite sport or just wander along and enjoy the views. Cabo de Gata The mountain range of Cabo de Gata has a distinctly volcanic appearance with sharp peaks and crags. It falls sharply into the sea creating the jagged cliffs, which are broken by gullies leading to small hidden coves with white sand beaches. The pristine waters are ideal for underwater photography and all types of fishing, as well as sailing and windsurfing. |
