Costa de Almeria

Mojacar
Ancient and with a distinctLy Arabic flavour, Mojacar nestles in the foothills of the Sierra Cabrera. Characterised by charming narrow streets and stepped terraces leading to miles of beachfront, Mojacar offers numerous restaurants, bars and cafés which attract visitors from all over the globe.

Quiet, secluded beaches and coves can be found by the more adventurous - the remoter ones have been adopted by naturists. Colourful Mojácar offers fiestas throughout the summer, regular markets, and many historical, archaeological and architectural treasures to explore. Nightlife is cosmopolitan but not brash. Here, Spanish and modern European lifestyle comfortably co-exist.

Aguilas
Aguilas is a fishing port midway between Alicante and Almeria airports that is a popular holiday destination for Spaniards and for this reason it has maintained its unique Spanish character. Aguilas’ rich history is evident from its castle and there is a long calendar of events and fiestas, starting with a spectacular Spring carnival.

Aguilas offers many excellent bars, cafés and restaurants, often with beautiful terraces and gardens. Outdoor pursuits on Land and sea are well catered for, while for the nature lover there is much to admire. Golfers will be spoilt by a number of excellent courses within easy reach.

Vera
Vera is a gentle but colourful blend of beach and urban life. The coastline is well maintained and serviced, while the town itself boasts a rich heritage including several 16th I century buildings still in use, a Gothic church with the appearance of a fortress, and a bull-ring.

Vera has a reputation steeped in Spanish culture and tradition. It offers culinary delights to satisfy the most demanding of palates, and among the town's many other claims to fame are the fine quality ceramics, crafts and the prestigious new golf course of Valle del Este.

Turre
Turre is tucked just inland between Mojácar and Los Gallardos in the beautiful foothills of the Sierra Cabrera. The town has a long and varied heritage, illustrated by both Roman and Arab remains, but perhaps its strongest modern virtue is its ideal position for lovers of walking, hiking, climbing, horse riding and golf.

Los Gallardos
Los Gallardos has a rich agricultural heritage and is situated inland between the mountains of Bédar and Cabrera. The gentle slopes from the hills to the coast offer much for the walker or climber to enjoy and make this an ideal venue for horse riding.

The town has a particular love of fiestas, the most important of which is the three day fiesta of Virgen del Carmen in mid July. There are also plenty of local points of interest and archaeology including the Roman villa at Cadima and the Arab baths at Alfaix

Garrucha
The town of Garrucha is nestled between the Beaches of Mojácar and Vera playa.

Garrucha is a beautiful and lively fishing town that still retains much of its original charm, despite it's popularity as a popular tourist destination.

There are plenty of restaurants and bars, with excellent seafood restaurants found along the seafront, serving the fresh catch of the day. Many landscaped areas, allow you to relax and pass the time of day whilst watching the sunset over the Mediterranean sea.

Garrucha is well known for it's golden sandy beaches, that stretch as far as the eye can see. The wide beach and fine sands offer a perfect place to sunbathe, play your favourite sport or just wander along and enjoy the views.

Cabo de Gata
Cabo de Gata is a peninsula at the eastern Spain north of Almeria. The lighthouse marks the tip. This natural park of 29,000 hectares is Andalucia's largest coastal nature park.

The mountain range of Cabo de Gata has a distinctly volcanic appearance with sharp peaks and crags. It falls sharply into the sea creating the jagged cliffs, which are broken by gullies leading to small hidden coves with white sand beaches. The pristine waters are ideal for underwater photography and all types of fishing, as well as sailing and windsurfing.
